Plunged in the sweet hills of the Alto Monferrato, a few minutes from Acqui Terme, there is a place that the open-eyed tourist can’t miss.
Inside Borgo Monterosso an extraordinary marriage between the charm of the green vineyards and the art of the twenty years of Fascism in Italy: Villa Ottolenghi Borgo Monterosso manor.
Thanks to the patronage of the Ottolenghi counts, architects, painters and sculptors were embarked in its realization creating an example, unique in Italy, of strict cooperation among artists.

A short history:
In 1920 the Ottolenghi counts commissioned Federico d’Amato an then the famous architect Marcello Piacentini to build the manor.
The Ottolenghi patronage brought to Monterosso many artists, and among them Ferruccio Ferrazzi, Fortunato Depero, Adolfo Wildt, Libero Andreotti, Fiore Martelli, Arturo Martini, Rosario Murabito and Venanzo Crocetti.
After the death of Arturo and Herta Ottolenghi, their son Astolfo devoted himself in the completion of the manor.

To be visited the mausoleum or Herta’s Temple, the Ottolenghi private museum, the park planned by the landscape architect Pietro Porcinai, one of the most lovely in Italy, the formal Garden, the Well, the Studies, the Tank, and the walk along the boundary of the complex, the Graffiti, the glycyl arbor, the swimming pool, the wine cellar with the fine local wines....
