The walled town rises up on the crest dividing the torrents Ongina and Stirone, on the first slopes of the Piacenza Apennines.
Maybe it is one of the best preserved medieval towns in Italy.Built in 12th century by the Scotti. The ancient walls, with their Ghibelline embattlements, are still defending the town.
Inside the walls, the Oratory of the Madonna of the milk and the parish church of Saint George.
The small but fascinating town is dominated by the imposing quadrangular tower, with its embrasures and Ghibelline embattlements.
The place needs to be visited unhurriedly to taste the ancient memories.

Only two remarks:
There should be a walk along the walls and to the tower, but it is not clear where you have to address, maybe at the entrance of the Tanzi house.
The wish of “modernity” claimed a new victim: the skywalk leading to walls and to the tower, according to us an eyesore.
Note 2019: the ticket office at the entrance to the tower is open.
