Correspondence between Verdi-Piroli:
National edition of the Verdi’s correspondance and documents (Parma, Istituto Nazionale Studi Verdiani, with the contribution of the Rotary Club Salsomaggiore)

Giuseppe Piroli was one of the Verdi’s best friends and their correspondence went on for more than 30 years.
Their friendship was cemented by the mutual respect and passion for the politics intended as moral commitment.
Associazione bandistica Giuseppe Verdi:
The band played along Via Roma and stopped in front of the Rocca with “Bande e fanfare a Busseto” [movie]
The band of Busseto was officially instituted on 12th August 1816 and was directed by Provesi until his death in 1833.
The young Giuseppe Verdi won the contest for the direction of the band (February 1836) and maintained this place until 1838.
The following directors leaded the philharmonic to several successes.
The secret rooms:
Extraordinary openings at Villa Verdi for the visit of the private rooms and of the exhibition of the carriages (Sant’Agata Verdi, Villanova sull’Arda – PC).
After the purchase of the land in 1848 Giuseppe Verdi began to build the villa originally intended for his parents.
The construction ended in 1880 and from then it was is usual residence after he left Palazzo Orlandi in Busseto because of some misunderstandings with his fellow citizens.
Verdi in the trenches:
Performance by the Chorus of Vittorio Veneto at the theatre Giuseppe Verdi.
Folk songs in the centenary of the end of the First World War 1918-2018 [movie].
The Chorus was founded in 2008 by a group of 15 friends.
In its statute there is this paragraph: "the chorus will care for the musical education and promotion, in particular organizing enterprises with the aim of recovering the local traditions, researching and spreading choral compositions of any age".

Daniele Rubboli, native of Modena, is a journalist from 1970 and works for dailies and magazines, television and from 1990 with the RAI TV.
Finest voices: Renato Bruson:
Organized by the Accademia Bruson and the Parma OperArt, a meeting at the theatre Giuseppe Verdi between the journalist and music critic Sabino Lenoci and the great baritone Renato Bruson.
Renato Bruson
After the studies at the conservatoire of Padova, he began his career in 1957.
The real artistic debut took place in 1961, with the victory of the contest of the Teatro lirico sperimentale "Adriano Belli" of Spoleto in the Il trovatore by Verdi, playing the character of the Conte di Luna.
From then his career is a continuous series of successes in Italy and worldwide.
Nowadays he curates the ACCADEMIA RENATO BRUSON ALTO PERFEZIONAMENTO IN CANTO LIRICO in Busseto.
Sabino Lenoci
Journalist and music critic, in 1986 he founded with Giorgio Banti the first monthly magazine dedicated to melodrama: "l’opera", well know and admired by the international music world.
He also is a highly regarded artistic consultant for various events and televisions.
