A bit of history:
While much documentation can be found for the parish churches of Sasso and Scurano, very little can be found for the church of San Michele in Lupazzano.
Pieve Santi Ippolito e Cassiano:
The construction of the church begun around the year 1000 in the shape of a Latin cross with quadrangular apses.
Between 1600 and 1700 it was profoundly transformed with the addition of two side aisles and chapels.
The bell tower was built in 6 years from 1832 to 1838.
In 2008 a violent earthquake caused serious damage. The restoration work was completed in 2017, making the parish church usable again.
Parish Church of Santa Maria Assunta:
Also known as the parish church of Sasso.
The first documentary evidence dates back to 1004 under the name Sanctae Mariae de Saxo.
At the behest of Matilda of Canossa, the building was rebuilt at the top of the hill in 1082.
Until around 1400 it was a resting place for pilgrims on their way to the Lagastrello pass; then its decline began.
Restoration work on the decayed temple began in 1822 and has continued from time to time to the present day.
Church of San Michele:
There is very little information on this church; the Internet reports that the church was rebuilt in 1694, which, observing the façade, is very likely A plaque (see photo no. 30) indicates that in 1995 the building, or at least part of it, was 1000 years old.

A note:
Check when churches are open, usually, but not necessarily, on holidays.
