South Tyrolean folklore museum |
||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
With a surface of 14.8 acre, is, without any doubt, one of the most beautiful open-air museums in Europe. The heart of the museum is the baroque manor house Mair am Hoff, built in 1690 and surrounded by about 20 original “masi” (farmer houses) rebuilt in the museum with their authentic fittings. The visitor can return to the past, admiring several tools, farm implements, gardens and farm animals. Thanks to the wonderful photos of our friend Nadia we can, at least with these virtual images, go back to the past. |
