Rummaging in my attic, I don’t remember what, I founded a series of slides dating back to 1973 when digital technology did not exist and I used cibachrome (then an advanced technology) to print them.

Lucchio, a village out of times, then and I hope now too, placed over the steep Apennine mountainside.
I would not have been amazed if turning around the corner (uphill) I would have come upon a Templar coming back from the crusades.

A cross-section of our Country that I hope is still untouched (from then I never went there), keeping that simple and clean atmosphere that our present time has cancelled.

I remember that I spent all the day walking through the impracticable narrow streetsor sitting in the sun on a little wall, listening to the silence permeating the ancient walls.

I recommend you a visit, but, please, not an invasive one.

I’d like to get information about the present condition of the place, hoping that nobody would have spoiled my memories.

Lucchio: a village near Bagni di Lucca (LU), in the LimaValley, coming up on the right of the Abetone road that links Tuscany and Emily.
Probably with Roman origin, the village is towered by the ancient ruins of a castle (11th century).
