(Chioggia (VE) - Veneto)

Walking in a peaceful day of mid October just where the Brenta marries the Adriatic Sea

After about 94 ml, through the Provinces of Trento, Vicenza, Padua and Venice, its fresh waters mix with those brackish of the sea, near Chioggia (VE).
When the crowd of tourists, looking for the sun, finally come back home and the dunes regain the lonely charm of an October day, maybe a little grey, that it’s the right moment to discover how much Nature can reserve, just nearby.
We walk along the pier, and then we sink our shoes in the sand of the shore, where gaunt wooden shapes are a testimony of far away lands.
Only the noise of a boat coming back to its berth and a distant bark interrupts the silent meditation and the ebb and flow of the waves.
The day, shorter than the breathless August days, ends. We come back to the noisy daily routine
