Brenta river: the Brenta's coast
(Padova-Venezia - Veneto)

Getting down to the mouth of the river we won’t cover its natural bed, but an artificial branch leading from Padua to the lagoon and to Venice.

In this area of the Po Valley the river was channelled and connected with canals that now are a feature of the territory of Veneto by the Serenissima, the VeniceRepublic.
Among them, maybe the most important from the tourist point of view is the canal that from Padua leads to San Marco Square in Venice, following the so-called Brenta coast.

Its great tourist interest was already clear to the Venetian noblemen who built up on its banks and surroundings the coast Villas that are wonderful works of art.

And what else better for enjoying the beauty of the place than sailing on a lazy ferry that slices the waters?

A trip plunged into nature, art, history and gastronomy without the worry of the road traffic.

And in this place the willows are really weeping.

A suggestion for the tourists:

Before or after the boat trip, please visit Padua and its works of art (Venice does not need of an invitation) and, if you have time, some delightful villages you won’t come across along the canal (Cittadella, Noale, Mirano …..)
