Albissola ceramics, an Italian excellence
(Albissola (SV) - Liguria)

Certainly, talking about an Italian excellence product you are only spoilt for choice. We could choose one of the countless foodstuffs, but we preferred make room for a product, maybe less known, which however represents one of our excellences, the Albissola ceramics.

A product that joins tradition, art and innovation blended by a skilful handicraft.

We should remember that Albissola was and still is a point of reference for world art. Here lived and worked Lucio Fontana, Wifredo Lam, Agenore Fabbri, Asger Jorn, Sergio Dangelo, Enrico Baj, Emilio Scanavino, Gian Mario Pollero, Salvatore Fancello, Aligi Sassu, Piero Manzoni, Tullio d'Albisola and sorry if we forgot someone else.

Here there are many workshops which produce ceramics for housing and décor, from the street numbers to works of art and all you have to do is to roam around its streets and see.

But Albissola Marina is not only ceramics, so please visit

  • Villa Faraggiana museum.
  • Fabbrica Casa Museo "Giuseppe Mazzotti".
  • San Giorgio factory.
  • Casa Museo "Asger Jorn".
  • Alba Docilia furnace

And most of all it is pleasant to have a walk in the town streets, savouring the “excellences” of the Ligurian cuisine
