This time Francesca leads us in the core of the Sardinian people showing the faces and the costumes of her island.

Maybe Sardinia is the richest region in traditional costumes, every town has its own: we can admire some of them in these images, relating to the 2017 procession.

The procession, of which we already talked about in our specials [St Ephysius 2014 and 1975], took place on 1st May and gathered the people from all the island.
This parade has to be seen at least once, as well as other festivals as the Cavalcata Sarda in Sassari and the Redentore in Nuoro.
And more, in our opinion Sardinia shows just in springtime its best sides with the green of the oak woods and the seacoasts assuming the purple of the carpobrotus.
