We already talked about Casa Barezzi (Barezzi house) in 2010 and now this special would like to explain how much the association make every effort to spread a music culture in the spirit of the Great Maestro.

The images show a few moments of the pleasant evenings that we enjoyed at the prestigious hall of Casa Barezzi, saying sorry for the omissions.
This presentation intends to summarize the countless initiatives of the cultural association.

A bit of history:

Having already talked about the palace, now we want to say a few words about its most important room: the hall.
Restored in 1998 in late nineteenth century style, the hall is carpeted in blue with the top of the walls and the ceiling frescoed by Giuseppe Baisi.
The original fittings were recovered and given by Gianfranco Stefanini.
The portrait of Antonio Barezzi (by Ghisi, 1877) placed over the stone fireplace dominates the hall and other family portraits are nailed to the walls together with a large oil painting depicting “Verdi sitting at the Caffè Cova in Milan with Puccini, Mascagni, Leoncavallo, Catalani and Toscanini” (by Romano Di Massa, 1890).
The most valuable piece is the Viennese Tomaschek fortepiano played by Verdi during the composition of the "I due Foscari". Verdi played again on this fortepiano the notes of the "Va, pensiero" to comfort the final moments of his father in law, Antonio Barezzi.
